Molino

Molino, the old mill house, is south of Paganico, beneath Arcidosso on the way to Rocca Albegna. It lies in the nook of a hill and we look often in the evenings westward through the loggia, toward the sunsets and the invisible sea (another hill hides the glint on the horizon).

The workshop space, La Sala Degli Archi, has a Beckstein grand piano, and a surround sound music system. With oak parquet and underfloor heating, it measures nearly 100 square metres of sprung dance floor approved by the Ballet School. We can screen DVDs, videotapes, as well as computer output, digital and analog, at night in the library.

The swallows, hundreds of years ago, elected their headquarters in our old house and they create their nests under the rafters. They swoop in the summer through the arches of the loggia above our heads and bring so much joy…they teach their young to fly from the balcony and the ancient oak tree becomes alive with their excitement. We think that you will find that this old 18th century mill house is rather extraordinary, with a wonderful atmosphere, full of friendship and peace.
